I'm not sure but it looks kind of like a Magnolia tree. I think its a bit too early for them to be in bloom but then you are ahead of us by quite a ways. Was there any leaves on it? Magnolia's bloom out and then their leaves come on. We usually get a freeze or a frost about the time they get bloomed out and then they are one super ugly tree...brown blooms all over them.
