Trying to play catchup!

I've really gotten a long way behind with my card shares.  This was done clear back in April for Gavin's 13th birthday...I can NOT believe he is 13 and it was a really sad day for me...not only because he is growing up so fast but it was the end of an era...no more birthday parties...he chose to invite just a few friends to go to a huge bounce house and spend the night...this granny felt so down!  LOL....he did invite me to go along but that was the day my little sister almost lost her leg and I spent it at the hospital instead.

Anyway, I got this image from JustInked and colored it with my Spectrum Noirs...I need a lot more practice but thought it really looked like our little man once it was done.  All done on the Silhouette.

The passing of Time....

When did my little man get so big....where did the time go...how did he grow so fast? I'd love to stop time.....just so I can hold him a little bit longer in my arms....I already notice he is getting reluctant to hug in front of his friends and I know that it's just him growing up but I still want him to stay like he is...when he used to grin from ear to ear and come running at me with open arms. I miss those days but love seeing him grow too...I guess I can't have it all but thank the Lord every day that I get to enjoy this little man that calls me granny!

Baseball 2010

This is where I've been for the past couple of nights. They lost their very last game of the season 12 to 14. It has been super hot and humid all week and how they played is beyond me. I was sweating up a storm and I was just sitting in the bleachers. Gavin would be soaked by the time he got done popping up and down in this position. He gave it his all! I can't believe he's grown up this much and this fast!

Looking Over

I love the way he looks over the top of his glasses at me....we were at his art show for his art class that he takes at Graceland college. He really enjoys this week of doing all sorts of art.

Cherish Laughter

Worked on this most of the morning and think I finally got it to what I wanted. I scraplifted it from Gingersnap Creations. Hers is a hybrid layout and I wanted to recreate it. Everything is from DDE. This is an older image of Gavin but since he's lost one of his front teeth, I wanted to do a layout with his baby teeth. He is growing too fast and the idea of him losing a front tooth really bothered me....a sign that he is no longer a baby. Time is going by way too fast!

Indiana Gavin is 8

I'm finally getting around to working up a layout for Gavin's birthday. I had taken my camera and a friend of Jerri Ann's was super nice and took the pictures for me. There was no way I could go with the crutches but I wanted pictures. She took a ton of them and I can't thank her enough. I've always wanted to do this faded into the background look but I've worked on this most of the afternoon and its' still not to my liking but couldn't figure out a better way to do it. I love this one of him by the tree and the bridge in the background. Really gives the photo a story! His theme was Indiana Jones and he did dress the part. He was so cute and so excited at the party.

Distressing Lesson

Well, as you can see, its not the greatest but at least I made it through the lesson. It would have been easier if I'd had a printer so I could print it out first. I like the technique but not sure I will ever get to where I can do it easily. Maybe with a lot more practice. LOL..I have so many of these pictures to scrap from this outing that I really should get with it.

Peanut Butter Cookies

I got these images the day before the knee surgery and just now getting around to doing something with them. I've worked on this for over 3 hours...lol...
Everything is from Shabby Shoppe from the Barefoot kit. I really like this kit and will have to do another layout or two with it.
