I'm running late for work but wanted to post this before I left. My daughter bought this cookbook for me for Christmas...its from her church and this recipe was in it. This is absolutely the best potato soup I have ever eaten. Bill and I could eat it every day but then we would have to take up running to work it off. It's pretty fattening.....LOL...but soooo good.
Recipe card from Shabby Princess from her Holiday Recipe collection.
This looks and sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteI will try it thanks for the card.
I make potato soup but it doesn't look like this. Don't have a recipe just throw it in the pot. If any of us get sick that is what we want to eat.
Forgot to add.....I love this kind of cookbook.
ReplyDeleteI have one that I bought 15 or 20 years ago that was done by a credit union and I use that one more than any other one I have. I bought Vickie one at the same time and she feels the same way.
I have several of these type of cookbooks. Jerri Ann has always stated that for someone that doesn't like to cook, I have an awful lot of books. LOL....I just like collecting them, I guess. They are always the ones I pull out first!
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome!
Forgot....I don't usually save the extra bacon, cheese or onions...we just dump it all in the pot. If I was fixing it for company, I'd probably leave the extra for them to add. I need to take another photo of this in the bowl with the extra's sprinkled on top. Bill and I were hungry and didn't want to wait any longer when I hurriedly snapped the photo...LOL
