SnowFlake Tags and a gift

Ok...here are the tags made with the snowflakes that were cut out of the front panel for the Christmas card.  I then cut a page full of white ones and sprayed them with an adhesive and spinkled them with glitter. This is the same tag I used last year, just cut me some more out of red cardstock and then I actually 'stamped' the Merry Christmas on them.  I had got this stamp with a card magazine that I get that always has a free gift on the front of it.  The Dec. magazine has these really neat stamps.  Added twine to the buttons and put it all together with pop dots.  Added some silver cord and there you have it...quick and easy.  Just put the to/from on the back and added to the packages.

This little gal was given to me a few years back from a long time friend of mine.  She has craft night with all her grandchildren and they make Christmas ornaments.  I love this one!  It's just a white transparent ornament that she has drawn the face on and added a small wooden bead for a nose.  Comes with a pretty gold metallic bow in her hair...LOL....she is really pretty when the lights from the tree are shining through her but I didn't capture that very well.

  1. Your tags are adorable and so is the ornament.
I've been looking at a few supplies for cards but I'm not sure. Maybe.

  2. I've hinted for two years now to my girls that I wanted a nice corner rounder....gave up and ordered it myself before Christmas and told Bill he could wrap it for me from him...LOL....I'm going to make a list of craft supplies I'd like to have for him and Jerri Ann. Jerri Ann says she is always afraid to buy me craft stuff cause she figures I already have it. I told her she can buy me any paper from Paper Trey Ink....I love it and always use it! Sure hope she remembers this...LOL

    Thanks!

  3. Maybe I should start a craft item list too. I would love stuff like that for Christmas.
I did buy a 2" scalloped circle punch and I found the sizzix texture boutique on sale on one of my shopping trips so I picked it up but I think I would rather have the cuttlebug. I don't know much about the equipment but I think you can emboss with it and use dies.

  4. I look at punches and think I should buy some but then I think I can do the same thing on my Cricut so I don't buy them. I do have a few that bought before the Cricut but not many. Mainly a couple circle ones, an oval one and some little ones that I really don't know when I would use them...

If I was buying again, I would by pass the Cuttlebug and get the Grand Calibur. Simply because the Cuttlebug only does small sheets and if I'm making a 5 x 7 card, I can't use it. But, they don't have many texture plates for the Grand yet. But, my favorite thing to do on my cards is add texture. I do think the dies would be super handy to have because you can cut out the shape and then emboss it around the edge. Gives it a nice, finished look. I can cut the shape on the Cricut but I can't emboss it. So far, I've not broke down and bought any dies yet...look at them but can't get myself to push the buy button. That is something I need to add to my craft wish list.
