It's been awhile since I've had time or something to post here. The summer is whizzing by so fast.
I've been busy with just life in general and Mary is still busy helping her Mom & Dad. I miss talking
to her every day or two. But you have to do what you have to do and she"ll pot when she can.
We spent a week in Seabrook SC. in April, it was beautiful but it was so windy it was hard getting any good snaps. We spent one day in Charleston SC were I took some of these shots.
In May I had a sorority meeting to attend and installed a new President so I don't have to been in charge any more. Not that I ever really was but I had the title for 2 years. Also attended the sorority spring banquet were I was crowned Girl of the Year 2011 - 2012. It was a happy surprise because I got it the year before and 2 years in a row is unusual. The girls got me a good looking rug for my front porch as out going president and girl of the year. Love it.
Been working in the yard a lot and hope to post some snaps of some flowers soon.
I think these are great shots, Nita....wind, or no wind...they are just great. Love the beach, the sunset and the ship but like all the rest too. I hope to catch up before long...planted a few flowers today but still have some more to go. I have not had my camera out of the bag for over 2 months. Shame on me....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to be home!
Oops...forgot to say congrats! It does not surprise me that you got Girl of the year for 2 years in a row...I'm thinking you should have had it more than that.
ReplyDeleteWe need rain! A real good soaking! I came home to dry conditions and had to water a ton. Almost lost my Hydrangea but managed to coach it back to life with some much needed moisture and some tender loving care. I hated to ask Bill to do anything else...he was, and still is, working 12 hour days, 6 days a week and our 4 acres is hard for two people to keep up with, let alone one. He was SO glad to see me come home! We are having gusty winds and no moisture...doesn't take long to dry things out.
Thanks Mary,
ReplyDeleteWith all that wind you should have seen my hair....I was one curly top.
I haven't had my camera out much either.
I'll bet Bill was lost without you and so happy to see you home again.
We had a nice rain Tues. but I had to water today. I planted one big urn and didn't notice that it didn't have a hole in the bottom. I did put several plastic bottle in the bottom but I noticed yesterday that it had way to much water in it.....Brent got it drill out and it now has 2 holes in it. I hope it doesn't kill it.
After 35 years in sorority I've had Girl of the year several times.
