My dad's card this year. It's going in the mail this afternoon and he should get it by Friday, if not Saturday. He won't say anything to the other siblings but he really likes getting cards on his birthday and Father's day but me and my brother are the only ones that do anything for him.
All paper is designed by Hero's Art and sold though Two Peas in a Bucket. The name is Earth Patterned paper and I printed it all out as 8 x 8 size and then picked through what I wanted to use. What papers I didn't use go in my extra paper folder for further use. Button from my stash and twine is from Paper Trey Ink. Everything was distressed with Tim Holtz distressing ink but I don't like how the walnut looked green on the brown plaid. Oh, well, my dad won't care and I'm sure it will still go to church with him to show off. Mom and him both take my cards to their Sunday School classes.
...
Your Dad is going to love it. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteDo you write something inside by hand or print something?
LOL....you must have been on while I was posting this. I hated the way it changed the colors so I immediately deleted the image and took the card outside to re-take the shot. I just now re-posted it and you had already commented on my first image...too funny!
ReplyDeleteI added another image of the inside. I added another piece of the cardstock and then just printed my words out on cream typing paper and cut it to fit and then added a strip of tape on the very top of the typing paper only. This way, if someone wanted too, they could pull the inside out and add another new sentiment and sign it. I don't know that anyone will reuse them but its an option if they wanted to.
Thank you!
Looks good.
