The rain finally stopped on Friday and we got to celebrate the 4th with a few fire crackers. The Grands were here until Saturday evening so they did get to play out some. They have some much fun playing on this old waterbed mattress.
No time to do anything fancy with the photo but wanted you to see my flower arrangement and the cupcakes. Again, I should have used the tripod but just no time to do it all! I've got the dressing made up for the Asian salad and the potato salad. Just waiting on the potatoes to cool to mix it up. I've also got the cookie pizza made for the fruit pizza but won't add the fruit till tomorrow so the cookie doesn't get soggy. I'm getting ready to mix up the baked beans so all I have to do is stick them in the oven tomorrow. Then, I'd really like to get my yard mowed so I won't have to worry about it all weekend. Running like a chicken with her head cut off!

I had all intentions of scrapbooking this photo but ran out of time before work, so this is it. This is the second crockpot of pork and I've got one more pot to do tonight. Then it will all be mixed together in a roaster and the BBQ sauce added and cooked another hour. I got the mowing done last night and its a good thing, its raining now. They are calling for dry and a high of 82 for the fourth. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't change. Sounds like perfect weather!
I think I have a screw loose....LOL. I wanted little flags to put in the cupcakes I'm making and couldn't find any around here. I could have ordered but after shipping, they were way too high. So...I made my own. Just finished these up a little bit ago. I'm putting vanilla icing and red/blue/white sprinkles and then a flag in each one. Just something festive. I'm thinking about putting white christmas lights around the deck and stuff outside but only if I get Thurs. off. I won't have time if I don't.

Just a quick post before I leave for work. This is my decoration for the silverware at the BBQ. You can't see all the pots with the napkins in the way but they are red/white/blue and each pot holds the utensils for the party. I'm going to pick up some smaller flags as these two are a bit too big.
Marietta is such a pretty town. The streets are lined with these lamp post and hanging flower baskets. They have a Merchants & Artist Walk the second Friday in June,July and August. We missed the one for June but I plan on going in July. Refreshments, music and much more on every corner and in the stores. Should be a fun time and I might find something I want to buy.
I love these they always look so cheery and the Yellow Finch love the seeds so I like having a ton of them.
Can you tell it's raining again today? I do this ritual every morning and by noon, you can't tell I even combed my hair. Bill is working 14 hours ALL weekend, so I get to do his duties and mine both. Ugh...
My one piece of polish pottery. I love this and would like to acquire some more pieces, some day. The little boy is a figurine my mom found me at a flea market. There's a woman to match it. Most all my 'blue' pieces are flea market finds.
This faceless doll has been in my collection since we moved in this house. Her hair needs a trip to the beautician but her makeup is still as pristine as it was in the beginning...LOL.
