This is the card I have been working up for 3 days now. I wish I could just sit down and whipped out a card in a couple hours but I can't. Either I can't decide how I want to make it, I can't find the paper I want or it prints wrong, time after time. This was the case with this card. I had the flowers cut out 2 days ago and had the basic card design made in Silhouette. But, once I started printing, I found out my measurements were just enough off to bug me....then it quit printing my verse on the inside...after printing 6 times, it dawned on me that all I had filled with color was the outline of the font and no fill color...so it was basically like it wasn't there. Does anyone else have as much trouble making cards as I do?
I'm not in love with this card...to me it is missing something on the front. In my mind, it really needed a sentiment but after putting it together, I just didn't want to start over. Plus, my flowers were cut from some scrapbook paper and I didn't have anymore of it.
Oh well, its signed and stamped and going in the mail today! Hopefully, my next card doesn't give me as much trouble.
I think the card is beautiful but I agree it needs a something else on the front.
ReplyDeleteJust keep working at it the more you do the easier it should get.
Ugh....have you noticed our post titles colors when you hit comment....guess I need to check that out...LOL...
ReplyDeleteThanks, its in the mailbox now...it will have to do!
Mary I think this is beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing. I think less is more these days. What a great cut. Love the shape. You are so talented. A friend of mine just got a Silhouette and she gave me a mirror with etching on it that she created on her Silhouette. It is so pretty. I am bound to try it now. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dawn...I've yet to try any etching but keep thinking I will. Just too much I want to do and too little time to do it in.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind, kind words...makes me what to create more!
