Day 13 Favorite coffee cup

This is my favorite coffee cup and it is one of a kind. Made for me by a special friend. I never drink coffee out of it because I'm afraid of it getting broken. It just sets on the shelf right above my pc and smiles at me.

I missed yesterday. Just too much work and too little time but I couldn't pass up taking a photo of a day that only happens 4 times a year. Feels like a holiday without the time off...boohoo

Found a nice place to get some good wildlife shots today. I will be going back when it gets a little warmer. It is so cold today.

The signs of Spring...my mailbox is full of plant catalogs. I love browsing them and have got a list of new plants to try this year.

Such a sad snowman...he knows that his time on this earth is about to come to an end..The sun is shining bright today and warm weather is on its way!

Ugh...another Monday morning with these darn ole boots. I want to get up and be able to put my walking shoes on...

Day 8 Drips with a little texture

Took this one yesterday morning out the window. Just had to play a little in PS and added some texture. It's not as drippy today. Starting to look a little better. I have tulips coming up through the snow.

Day 8 -It's Melting

Yippee! We are in the 30's today and the snow is melting....I'm sure there will still be plenty on Monday morning but at least we can see it starting to melt...we haven't seen much melting this winter but have seen a ton of snow.

Day 7 and catching up...

Spent the whole day with my favorite little man...he's becoming quite the computer geek. We both got in trouble when mommy got here cause he is only suppose to play video games for 30 minutes. I let him play till he finished the levels and he quit when he was done. I guess I should follow mommy's rule here but feel like granny should have special rules no more often then he's here. I guess mom can just re-program him when he gets home.

Day 6 Gloomy Drippy Day

A day behind now...will try and take something before the day is over for Day 6. I took this yesterday morning and forgot to post it. This is my daily breakfast to make it through the day..with all the snow we've been having, I need to switch to eggs and bacon...

February Full Moon Day 4

The moon was so beautiful last night as I headed home from work..I so wanted my tripod and camera to capture its beauty in the blue sky. I can't describe the excitement I felt at the aura of it. By the time I got home, it had raised considerably in the sky and the sky wasn't as blue but I tried to capture it anyway. I did a horrible job but I have this image to remind me of the beauty that cold, February night.

Guess what my favorite brown truck brought me today. It is going to take

a lot of practice learning to use this. It is heavier than I thought it would be.

These old doorknobs have been here since the house
was built..I love them and can't get myself to swap
them out, even though they don't work right.

I love this new clock but I had to buy the candlesticks to balance out the mantel. I have a huge Santa collection but these are the only two that get to stay out all year.

Day 1

Sunday morning, Feb. 17th and we are getting hammered with a huge snow storm. This winter has been so long...over 30 inches of snowfall so far and its looking like March is not going to be any better.
