Day 212

The last of the wall murals. This isn't the best way to display them cause they are too small but I had so many that I needed to combine some or you would have got terribly bored with me...LOL
I was wrong about the credit for the last layout. The background paper on it and this layout are from the Lily Pad and they are designed by Amy Wolff. The photo cluster is from The Lily Pad and the rest is from Gina Cabrera from her Book Essentials kit.

Day 212

A few shots that I took yesterday. The wind was blowing pretty hard most of the day so I had to stand aroung waiting to snap when things stood still for a second. The wind got worse later in the evening but it's not bad today. A little rain now and then.
This is all from Digital Design Essentials. The green background is in the Twiggy Kit and the strings and clips are in the Sept. Idea Book . The stitching and paper scrap I don't remember but it's Gina's....LOL
Have to go see Mother and be back in time for Zach's bus.

Day 211

Just some more wall art. I have some more and will post them in the next day or two. Everything from the Book Bag Essentials by Gina Cabrera and the frames are from The Lily Pad.

Day 210

This is the first layout with these pictures. Working on another one now. This is the wall art in Chillicothe and its so beautiful. They have these drawings on about every empty wall around the square and it looks so real...like you could walk right in the stores. I really like going there and seeing it all. It seems like every time I go, I see another new one. All stuff is from the Book Bag Essentials by Gina Cabrera and the frames are from the Something Blue Studio.

Day 211

This is how we kept Zach happy today. He had chicken strips, green bean, applesauce and a biscuit for dinner but he would have preferred another grilled cheese like he had for lunch.
Everything from Catch a Star Kit from Digital Design Essentials except the paper tear and it's from Scrapbook Bytes by Steph. I made the star from the kit into a sticker.

Day 209

I finally learned how to do an extraction but its still not as good as you do. I'll keep practicing on it! The swirl is by Rhonna Penner, the frame is from Something Blue Studio, as well as the tape element and the background is from Feistuff, thanks for the link to it. I have some of her stuff but hadn't been to her website for quite a while.

September 13, 2008

Day 210

I took these several months ago and they didn't turn out the way I wanted but decided to use them this way.

Isn't this word art the cutest. Used a freebie from http://feifeistuff.blogspot.com/ but I didn't use the frames that came with it because I needed 3. These are from OScraps and I added the grid work myself.

Day 208

I've always loved this photo of Gavin and Amanda...it was taken in Nov. of 2006 and I can't believe how much they've changed in just two years. This was a layout by Anne Langpap in the first Digital Scrapbooking magazine I bought. I had to make the circles and they aren't as good as hers were but it helped teach me a bit more about using PS for images. The green background is by Shabby Princess, not sure where the red dotted paper came from. The arrow is from the Island Chic kit by Shabby Princess. I did all the rest!

Day 209

Zach was out back one day this week passing football with his dad and I was trying to snap some shots and stay out of the way at the same time. This turned out pretty good even with the gum in his mouth.
I have been wanted to play around with some angles. I find them a little harder than squares & circles but I like how it turned out. I also followed K. Pertiet's tutorial for custom drop shadows. Not sure how I feel about them.
Digital Design Essentials Parker kit.

Day 208

It is starting to look a lot like fall. I would have taken this on the front porch but I still have my summer wreath up and that would looked a little tacky. Zach got me these for Grandparents Day.
Brushes - Rhonna Farrer everthing else -Shabby Princess.

Day 207

I had a long day...didn't get home till almost 8. Finished this up real quick and now I'm heading for bed. Will comment tomorrow on your great post.

Day 207

This is Jessi in her fearless battle with Darth Vader while she was at Disney. You can tell by her smile that she won! I used this layout once before and always liked it so I changed a few things and used it again. Stitching from Shabby Princess all the rest from Heather Ann Designs except the charm and I did it.

September 9, 2008

Day 206

This is the other tutorial I got from Designer Digital. On the Edge and in Distress. I did all the distress on the edge myself (with the brushes that came with the tutorial of course) I also did
a custom drop shadow. I have learned several useful things from these tuts. I never thought
I needed to know the short cut key strokes but they are quick if I can remember them. I would like to get some more of these tuts. They are very good.
After posting this I see that the distressing doesn't show up to good around the edge because of the white border on all of our posts.

Day 206

Some photos I took of Amanda when they were here in July. I sure miss them! Everything is from the Cozy/comfy kit by Gina Cabrera except for the brown background.

Day 205

A few shots of the fireworks at the Sternwheel Festival. They are the best fireworks I have ever seen but we are so close to them it is hard to get a shot and at the end when they do the finally it's almost scary. Just to much going on right in my face. I don't really like it much.

Day 205

This is the hardest thing I find to do....journal on the layout. I just couldn't figure out a good place to do it. What would you do here?
I was coming home from the Chautauqua in the Park and noticed a pickup stopped along the road looking up at the sky. Couldn't figure it out till I was almost hit by the airplane...LOL...he wasn't that close but close enough to make me jump...he was crop dusting a field that laid close to the highway. I pulled over to get a few shots and noticed the sunflowers. Took some shots of them too. I wish I'd had my zoom lens on so I could have got closeups of the plane but this is as good as it gets.
All the paper is from Summer Breeze from NitWit Collections. Frames are from the Lily Pad . The bow is from Zen Garden from Oscaps. The ribbon is from Shabby Princess/Country Charm.
The clear divider tabs are from Daniele Young. The green swirl is from Sunshine Smiles by KittyChen of Oscaps.

Day 204

This is such awesome RootBeer. I love it almost as much as I love the bottle it comes in. You get to pick the bottle and then you can go back during the day and have it refilled. I liked the blue ones and was torn between this one and another she had but I think I like this selection. I love the smell of the Kettle Corn and I do eat a little of it but mostly I buy it for Bill...he always asked if I got any when I get home. Heaven forbid if I'd forget him! LOL..

All from Emma's Sundress by Michelle Coleman except for the tag and the envelope. The tag is from the Lily Pad and the envelope is from the Cozy, Comfy Fall kit by Gina Cabrera.

Day 204

I purchased a tutorial from Designer Digital - Laying it all out No. 7 - Coloring inside the lines by Cassie Jones. It's a very good tutorial and it has everything to do this page with it for $7.99 and I did learn a bunch but I'm going to need to do it several more times before I remember it all.
This is Jason looking out of the dug-out at one of his games. Makes it look like his in jail.....LOL

Day 203

As you can see, I got those muffins made and have already sampled one. And they are yummy! I might have to hide them from Bill...LOL...thanks for the recipe.
Everyone from the Cottage Arts kit called Sweet Posies except for the Alpha and its from Digital Design Essentials.

Dau 203

This is all I can come up with today. Went to see Mother earlier today and then the grocery store and that just about did me in. I just don't feel up to par today. Going to go watch the rest
of the football game and then I may go up to the Steernwheel Festival later.

Day 202

Another one of my pictures that I didn't know how to scrap. I love how the sun was shining on this old building with the silo in the back. I could take hundreds of photos of barns and silo's. I'm going to the dentist in the morning and then going to take in the Chautauqua in the Park in Chillicothe. I plan on taking my camera with me. Never know when I might find something interesting to shot. This is all from a kit called Cutest Cowboy, designed by Kim Liddiard.

Day 202

I made a Banana Split dessert for Labor Day and I bought to many bananas. I didn't want them to go to waste so I made these Banana Crumb Muffins last night. They go perfect with a cup of coffee.
Everything is from Shabby Princess except the frame.

Day 201

This is two of my favorite magazines and I got them yesterday. Did you sign up for the Kraft Food & Family one? It has some really good recipes in it this time. That bruschetta chicken bake on the cover looks so good. The Country Sampler always has great pictures of homes to look at
and drool over.
Everything is by Amanda Rockwell except for the frame.

Day 201

I was so engrossed in this layout that I forgot I had to go to work...now I'm late...all elements and paper except for the yellow are by Kitty Designs from her Sunshine Kit.

Day 200!!!!!!

Do you know what this is? It's my dish soap. I've had this bottle with my dish soap in it beside my sink for years. If I ever break it I hope I can find another one to replace it.
How about the bokeh in this shot? Just what I was trying for. I also used the flash.....LOL....
Still don't know anything about it but how to turn it on and swivel it around and take the shot.
Mailing label from OScraps and everything else Shabby Princess. This has always been one of my favorite kits. Love the colors in it.
I know what I'm shooting for tomorrow.

WOW! Day 200

Can you believe we've made it this far? It's been rough at times but so much fun. I look so forward to seeing what you've chosen to post everyday. And I think I've learned quite a lot about PS since we've started. I love this kit. It's called Twiggy by Gina Cabrera. The frame is by The Lily Pad and the title is from ninascraps in a kit called SummerBreak. And of course, that file folder card is from Gina Cabrera's Cozy Comfy Fall kit. I just love those file folder cards behind the photos and use them a lot.

Day 199

This is a fun game. They also played corn hole but we had already put that one away when I took the pictures.
Frame from Designer Digital-Staple from Digital Design Essentials Everything else from Shabby Princess. The little tail on the stitching I made myself and I recolored the stitching.

Day 199

I finally got a nice, sharp photo of this beautiful weed. Or, maybe it's just me, but I love seeing it in the country side. The stems and leaves are totally ugly but when that bloom opens up on top, its sheer beauty. God's way of telling us that no matter how we grow, there is beauty somewhere within all of us. All elements and papers are from the ZenGarden designed in collaboration by Joanne Brisebois and Kathryn Wilson of Oscraps. The frame is by Melanie Willman from her Frames 2 kit. The sticker title is by me.

Day 198

This is how we spent this hot labor day. Water battles, fun, eats and then more water battles.
Frame - Shabby Princess- Smell my Feet Kit. The swirl stickers I did trying to match the letters. Every thing else from Digital Design Essentials School Zone Kit and Parker Kit.

Day 198

I'm thinking I should just invest in a lot of these templates...these I can do and do pretty quickly. What I can't do is come up with my own ideas and even if I try and scraplift someone elses, I'm not sure how to do all the stuff in PS. I'm learning, slowly, but if I don't do something over and over, I forget the next time I want to do it. This is TaylorMade, of course. She sent out a email and I got 33% off since its her birthday tomorrow, so I bought a few things. This was one of them and its her Scattered, Volumn 9. And...this catches me up to date...now to work on something for tomorrow.

Day 197

From my last photo shoot. I was after the different kinds of sunflowers in Missouri and happened upon these fellows. Since my hubby says I'm too slow to take real wildlife, I thought these might be more up my alley. They didn't mind my sitting up my tripod and taking their photos. In fact, this one donkey just kept coming closer and closer. I guess he wanted to make sure I was getting a close-up shot...LOL...this was hard for me to scrap...had no idea what to do with them. The butterflies are some freebies from ksharonkdesigns. The doodle was drawn by Susan McCormack and the paper and frames are from Gina Cabrera.

Day 196

Ok, I know I should be doing up new ones but since I did such a terrible job when I first started, I've been revamping some of those. This was my absolute, very first layout and it was ok, but it didn't excite me...so this is the revamp. I like it better and still used the word art, because I really like that quote. What do you think? Most of the stuff is from the Comfy Fall by Gina Cabrera. The pin and tag are from Katie Pertiet of Designer Digitals. The inked edge is from Alicia Hansen. I have no idea about the word art...I've had it since I started this hobby and all the file name says is 'Real'. I recolored it. Same with the stitches. I'm slowly getting things organized a bit better but still have a LONG ways to go. BTW...I've only reworked two layouts and its taken me most all day...I'm so slow.

Day 195

Remember this? This was one of the first layouts I ever did and boy, was it a disaster! But, I still had it taking up space on my hard drive and came across it when I was cleaning out. So...I decided to rework it because I love these photos and the memories. Do you think I did better with this version? All the stuff is by Michelle Coleman and the kit is called Holiday Fancy.

Day 194

Cheating again...LOL...all supplies from the Gina Cabrera's Hello Chickee kit. Love this kit!

Day 193

I'm cheating here a bit...LOL...I've been trying to clean up and organize my computer a little so I can get some backing up done and when I came across this, I decided I could post it. I love these shots of Amanda. Not my photo's, these were taken by her mom but I like the captures.

Day 197

Just a shot of the Liriope out front. I used the kit Cozy Comfy Fall from Digital Design Essentials because it's starting to have that look outside. I love fall but hate to see summer end.

Day 194

We finally got the bad weather from Florida up here. It rained all day yesterday and it's still misty today but we need the rain so bad. I went out back and took a few shots of the rain drops on the fig tree. I don't know why I have so much trouble holding the camera still with the 100mm lens on. It's not that heavy but I sway around all over the place and it's to much of a pain to get the tripod out for just a few shots. This shot was the best of the bunch.
Everything in the layout is from Shabby Princess Carousel Kit.
Go back and check my comments for the last couple of days I added to them.

Day 192

You know what you're doing, right? Making me use some of these kits that have taken up a huge proportion of my harddrive! And, that is a good thing, cause its finally forcing me to scrap a few of these pictures. I love this picture that Jerri Ann took. It shows the love of these too SO much and she positioned them just right. She really takes better photos than I do, I just take a whole lot more. LOL If you don't get bored with me, I may scrap a couple more. I'd like to get them done up in a book for him. This is a combination of kits. The star is from Kim Liddiard from her Elements of Texas kit. The papers, twine and ribbon are from Jamie Rousselle in her All Star Love kit. The word art is from a kit called A Guy Thing but there is no creator or website listed in any of the files. The inked edge is by Alicia Hansen of Cashewstyle.com
Mindy terasawa designed the hang tag from her Little Treasures kit and the file folder was from Digital Design Essentials Gina Cabrera. Whew! I think that is all. It takes me as long to look everything up as it does to put it on the page. LOL

Day 193

This is Zach's big Bass catch and his little Bluegill catch. They went on a camping trip a couple of weeks ago and I think he is starting to get into fishing.
I'm now up to date......Again.
The frame is from O Scraps and the rest Shabby Princess.

Day 192

This is a picture that I took in 2006 and have wanted to scrap it but just hadn't gotten to it.
This was after Zach's first and only violin concert.
Template is Scrap Orchard's scraplift challenge for Aug. By: Sine. I like her templates makes for an easy layout.

Day 191

This wasn't my shot, its Jerri Ann's but I had to post it. This was Gavin's first fishing trip and he caught this 8.5 pound catfish right off the get go. Dad had to help him pull it in, it was pulling Gavin in the water. I'd love to have been there to observe his excitement and delight. He called me and was telling me about it and he stated: I'm sure glad we got a new pole, I don't think my Dinosaur rod would have held him!" I need to document that statement.
Oops, forgot to add the credits. All paper and stitching from Micheline Martin from her kit Sunday Morning. I love the colors in this kit, especially for my two little guys. I made the word art.

Here is my take...not as nice as yours but I'm still having trouble doing these templates. All papers and elements from Hello Sunshine by Studio Traci Reed and Studio Kristin. I'm a couple days behind now. This is my post for Sunday. How do I get caught up and then get behind...LOL

Day 189

Oh my...where do I start? I used some from lots of kits. Lets see...the picture is mine! Ok. that's a start. The paper, brackets and photo prong were designed by Gina Cabrera and the frame was by Melanie Willmann (melgendesign). The ribbon trim was by Kathryn Wilson from the Zen Garden kit, the buttons were from the Color me Happy kit by ScrapGirls and re-colored by me and the circles were by Shabby Princess. I, for the life of me, can not find the word art again. I know its in my folders but which one? If you know, let me know and I'll edit the post.
Have fun on your little trip..see ya when you get home.
