I enjoy the food that is available this time of year. It's all so fresh, juicy and delicious. It's not to bad on the diet either. The cantaloupe is from the market and the salad tomatoes are out of our garden. My Dad loved cantaloupe so I always think of him when I have some.
Suppose to be in the 90's today and I'm off to work...Ugh...my lunch box is filled with frozen water bottles.
This is one of the flower baskets that is still at the market. They always have the prettiest combination of flowers in there baskets and they are huge. I could bring them all home with me. It would take a huge truck but how pretty would my yard be.
This is the market. I buy a lot of my flower plants here in the spring. I didn't buy any tomatoes because I have a ton of my own. Will probably have to make juice again this year but I thought them made a nice picture.
This is not a market shot.....Just a couple of new tops that I treated myself to. Don't you just love the colors? I hate the new long styles that is out now. They look great on someone tall and thin but not so hot on me.....Short and wide...... Of course these stripes are not going to help either.
Made this last night before bedtime. We had stopped at the fruit market on the way home Sat. and I picked up fresh peaches. So....peach cobbler is on the menu for tonight. We had BBQ pork, fresh from the garden Peaches and Cream corn on the cob and watermelon. Yummmmy.
One more post before I go play Dominoes. I just love seeing these along the road and had to stop and get a shot. A nice breeze was blowing so I had to stand around and wait like a nut. I'm sure people wonder what I'm doing standing so long with the camera pushed up to my eye.
Here it is. Love the 20" screen. I have most of my files transfered. Don' t have them organized just how I want yet but I will get it done. I have more to post but don't have time this evening. Hope to get caught up tomorrow but I have Zach and we are going down to see the In-laws so it will be a busy day. I will at least post a few.
I meant to get this done up a little fancier but couldn't find my files. I so need to organize things. I'm going to have to take a year leave of absence just to get things caught up at home. In my dreams!
It's a rainy Monday! Took this out my back door windows. It was hard to focus and get the raindrops on the window at the same time but I think I got them. I never thought I'd ever say this again but I've had enough rain for a while. But, we need some MUCH cooler weather cause our fan on our AC quick yesterday. We have our fingers crossed that the repair man can fix it today.

The first of my leading lines. I sent 9 images total. 3 for rule of thirds, 3 for leading lines and then framing, circle and geometric. Probably over kill, but I couldn't make up my mind.
This was my last submission for the rule of thirds and my favorite one. I was out there early in the morning and the wind was calm. Plus, I had my tripod. I love the reflection! This has officially caught me up to date. Yippee! I'll post the rest this week.

LOL...I took the camera to the Mexican restaurant. My MIL and hubby thought I was nuts but who cares! This is all my work except for the cactus and I found it on the web. It was a site to show you how to draw it but I just 'borrowed' theirs instead. Oops...forgot about the sunshine. I'm not sure who drew this as I don't have any information on it in my files.
Ok, I'm cheating now. This was a free quick page from Oscrap and it was designed by Sue Cummings. I had an awful time getting this picture cause Jackson was attached to my hip most the whole time they were here. He sure took to his granny and grandpa. He is SOOO sweet. This was suppose to have ink spots on the bookmark but I couldn't figure out how to do them. They were in png format but I couldn't get them copied or drug off the background and added to my layout. I gave up! Aren't they the most beautiful family!
You should never have sent that link. I've got nothing done today that I planned on doing. I just finished this tutorial by Amanda Taylor and decided I might as well post it. I really want to get caught up this weekend but its going by a lot faster than I want it to. I like the simplicity of this layout.
The Grands all went to the water park this afternoon so I took a little time to take a few quick shots. My flowers aren't looking to good this year. I haven't wanted to spend much time on them and it shows.
Ok, this is the last post for now...I'm off to sit on the front porch before I have to go to the doctors office. You can't see the Veronica or the Stella de Oro in this bed but they are there. They are around the bottom of the tree. I hope the petunia's don't smother them out but I'm not cutting these beauties down either. They are quite a treat for the eyes when you pull in the driveway.
Isn't she a beauty! I just love it when she is in full bloom. The grands wanted to cut them off but I wouldn't let them cut her. They could cut anything else but not this one. Maybe when I have more blooms....
I have been trying to catch a shot of a butterfly for days and every time I run out with the camera they are gone. I was in the kitchen making hot dog sauce today and saw this beauty. It never stopped fluttering it's wings. Had a hard time keeping the camera on it. If you don't hear from me for a few days the Grands will be here soon for the week end. Jason has games in Marietta tonight, Friday,
I'm slowly catching up....hopefully, this weekend, I'll be back up with you! Nothing to do on Sat. or Sunday but mow yard...and sit on my porch!
Little Gavin has got the photography bug bad! He took about 100 photos at the 50th celebration and some of them aren't too bad. This was his arrangement he was making to shoot and then Granny realized he was shooting more pics of her than he was the props...LOL..you can tell by the bottom photo that Granny is giving him a 'go away' talk...I'm going to have to work on his shutter button cause he pushes it down too fast and the camera doesn't have time to get a good focus. I have a ton of little people views of the party room...back of people, back of chairs, thermostat, videos...you get the idea, right?
I have no idea what kind of tree this is. Just know it stopped me in my tracks on my way to KC on Sat. morning. Had to turn around and get a photo of it!
Sharing a few of my favorite things. This started out as a scrap lift of one of Paislee Press designs. Used a scrap simple pattern template from Scrap Girls for the floral band. Background paper from Oscraps - Taylormade.

This is what we had for supper last night. It's the first time I've attempted the Beer Can chicken and it won't be my last. It was so good. I have another recipe I'm going to try the next time. I've made the potatoes a couple times and we really like them. The plus to this meal is not much mess in the kitchen, as its all done on the grill. I'm going to try corn on the cob with it the next time. I posted this yesterday but forgot to check my spelling and it was BAD! LOL

Lilies.....These never do much because I have them planted under the big maple out back. I should move them but I never think of it at the right time. So they will probably stay right were they are. We've had some nasty storms the last couple of days. Jason has ball games here Friday and Saturday so I hope the rain is over.
I chased this Hummingbird Moth around my flowers trying to get a good shot. They never stop moving so it's very hard to get good focus. When we started seeing this moth flying around we thought it was a small Hummingbird but after doing a web search we found out what it was.
