Hydrangea August 2009

This is when I like this Hydrangea the most. I just love this combination of green and pinks together. I wish this plant would produce more blooms but usually I only get a couple. I'm going to try and root some of the branches and see if I can get some more started. I'm going to plant lots of Hydrangea's along the privacy fence.

This Phlox was a dark magenta when it was first planted several years ago. Now I have dark magenta, pink and this lovely white and pink. Strange how plants change over the years.
This has several textures & overlays on it.

Lighted House

Just a quick post before I head for bed. Took this one day when it was raining. This sits on my antique table on the corner of my back deck.

Sunflower Birdhouse 2009

The girls gave this to me last Christmas...its a 3 hole birdhouse and the holes all have a sunflower around them. I was playing around and liked this composition of it. Would have been better if a little bird had stuck his head out but I'm sure it would have startled me so much I would have missed the shot...LOL

Begonia 2009

It was raining yesterday morning so I spent some time on the deck with my camera and the begonia plant. It loves it there and has bloomed all summer. I've got some more images to post but have to get to work now.

From my backyard.....

Just a few shots from my backyard. Nothing wonderful or spectacular and really not very good but this is how I relaxed for an hour or so Saturday evening. Good cup of coffee and my camera on the patio waiting for something to come along.

First one ....... Just a Squirrel

Second one ...... Cedar Waxwing ...... I couldn't see what it was until I put my camera on it.

Third one ...... Goldfinch ...... I almost didn't get this one. I was getting up to go inside (for more coffee) and it landed on a coneflower about a foot in front of me. Had a hard time getting my camera up, turned on, set and snapped without scaring it away and dang I chop his tail off.

Just another sunflower.....Had all the Grands here yesterday so today I'm not doing much but playing around a little.
