I think I have a screw loose....LOL. I wanted little flags to put in the cupcakes I'm making and couldn't find any around here. I could have ordered but after shipping, they were way too high. So...I made my own. Just finished these up a little bit ago. I'm putting vanilla icing and red/blue/white sprinkles and then a flag in each one. Just something festive. I'm thinking about putting white christmas lights around the deck and stuff outside but only if I get Thurs. off. I won't have time if I don't.

Just a quick post before I leave for work. This is my decoration for the silverware at the BBQ. You can't see all the pots with the napkins in the way but they are red/white/blue and each pot holds the utensils for the party. I'm going to pick up some smaller flags as these two are a bit too big.

I have no idea what this wildflower is...just know that I like seeing it every year. I took these at the 'wrong' time of day and it was pretty windy and I had no tripod. Marietta is such a pretty town. The streets are lined with these lamp post and hanging flower baskets. They have a Merchants & Artist Walk the second Friday in June,July and August. We missed the one for June but I plan on going in July. Refreshments, music and much more on every corner and in the stores. Should be a fun time and I might find something I want to buy.

My one piece of polish pottery. I love this and would like to acquire some more pieces, some day. The little boy is a figurine my mom found me at a flea market. There's a woman to match it. Most all my 'blue' pieces are flea market finds.

I'm not going to post the recipe because I didn't calculate the points value myself and I wouldn't want to post anything that I wasn't sure of. But I will say it was good and I will make it again.

This one doesn't bloom as much as the Forever Summer but its lovely when it does. It's suppose to be blue but my soil keeps it more on the light pink side. I know I can amend the soil but I don't have the time or want to. I'm happy just to see it bloom. We are to be in strong thunderstorms today. Ugh.

7 years old and we've finally lost our first tooth. He was really excited about it and lost the second one during the night. He is $2 richer. LOL
If you look at the closeup shot, you'll see his permanent pirate patch. He's suntanned his face except where his patch covers his eye.

Here's the pump. I didn't get a very good picture of it cause I didn't have my tripod and it was a bit in the shade. I love the light on the top and wish it was still operating. I think that would be so cool to see the lights on it at night. Gavin's ball season came to an end last night. They lost their second game of the tournament. Gavin cried twice during the game. He's such an emotional kid. Love him to death!

A blast from the past! I'm sure when this station was open for business, gas was less than .50 a gallon. Someone keeps it up cause it always looks nice but its been a few long years since its doors were open for business. The old pump is still there and I'll post a picture of it tomorrow.

Finally!! I got the moon shot with the texture showing! This was what I was seeing last night when I was driving home after Gavin's ballgame. He plays again tonight and if they lose it, their season will be over. I love watching him play. He is a heck of a good batter but looses his concentration in the field. We need to work on that!

It was Bill's time to fix supper...we had chicken/garlic pizza and it was really good. Course, it was straight out of the freezer but it tasted like fresh tossed pizza since I didn't have to do a thing except sit down in my chair and eat it..

I'm sure glad I got a picture of my beautiful Forever Summer Hydrangea cause it won't be pretty much longer. This is planted in front of the front porch and since we cut the tree down, it has no shade. It was cloudy all day today, so it didn't wilt down but on the days that the sun comes out, its wilted down to the ground by evening. I should have got it moved this Spring but forgot about it till it got too big. I hope it doesn't die. I'll move it this fall or next Spring if it can hang on. Maybe I should put an umbrella over it..LOL

The Stella's have finally started blooming. I can't believe how lush all the foliage is...we got almost 2 1/2 inches of rain yesterday and it's real foggy this am. Suppose to have a nice weekend before rain moves back in on Sunday evening.

I was trying for a picture of my washer 'talking' to my dryer but missed the opportunity. I think its such a cool feature. When my washer gets done, it tells my dryer what is coming in to dry and what settings to use. So far, its done a great job and everything is dry. I've never been excited about washing clothes before! Technology! I embrace it and Bill hates it.

It is getting harder to find anything to take a picture of. Need to take a drive and see what I can find. The last couple of days has beeen pretty nice here only in the 80 that's a lot better than the 90 that we had a few days ago.

Shot through the fence but I was pleased how most of them came out. I found out if I zoomed way out, I could almost get the fence to 'disappear'. They would have been better if the sun would have been shining more but we haven't seen it much around here this Spring. Gavin actually hit a home run with this hit. Not that he hit it that far but he just kept running the bases and they kept overthrowing. He was tickled pink! Kit by Gina Cabrera.

I'm having a Fourth of July party and made these invitations to send out. They are a single card with the information on the back. This is just the original layout so don't pay attention to the yellow black stripe on the right side of the white square. I didn't get my square aligned quite right before I printed it off. I mailed all the good ones before I took a picture, so had to use this one. We invited around 40 people with adults and kids. Since its on Friday, I felt like I could handle it.

I made this a few years ago and keep it in my flower bed for the birds to get a quick drink from. It is called a puddler. As hot as it has been the last couple of days I'm sure the birds need it.

Just one of my deep purple Iris'. Haven't done much of anything this weekend due to the trip to KC and then we went down to B&P's for a fish fry and stayed most of the afternoon. The fish was fresh caught this week and boy, was it ever good. She also fixed hush puppies and they were awesome. I need to get her recipe for them. Not that I will fix them, lol, I'll just put it in the recipe box and forget about it.

Nothing special today. Just a shot of my Blue Eyed Grass. I finally found a place in my yard that it likes. I've got this planted in a small garden on the south side of my porch with some Lirope. It's done fabulous in that spot. When I made my first perennial bed, a hundred years ago, I wanted this to 'ring' the bed but couldn't get it to come back after the winter. Finally gave up. Then, after we finished the porch, I picked up some more and decided to try again. Guess its finally found a home cause its doing great!

This is a quick photo and quicker post. LOL..Didn't get home from Gavin's ballgame until after 9 last night and running late this am. I, too, wish we knew more about blogging or should I say HTML, so we could make our blog a little more creative. Me, I don't have time to learn, so guess it will be up to you...LOL..won't be on much tomorrow. We are going to see the Dinosaurs in KC.
