Lacecap 2011

Finally a shot to post.  I should have taken this early in the morning cause by the time I took this shot the wind was blowing.  But....wanted to get all the boxwood shrubs trimmed back while it was still half way cool and it was almost 1 pm by the time I got them all done.  Anyway, this still isn't the shot I have in my head but at least I've got one posted....LOL

  1. Lovely image.
    What is it setting on?

I have wanted one of these plants for several years and still haven't gotten one.

  2. Thanks...does it look too dark to you? I think my laptop makes images look too dark and then if I 'fix' it, I think its too light. Maybe its just the blog image...seems to always look better in PS then it does once I post.

This is my new bistro table that I picked up at our local Hy-Vee. I've always wanted a small table and chairs for the corner of my deck and finally found this! I fell in love with the texture and design on it. The chairs fold up so storage will be good.

This hydrangea is over 10 years old. It's really blooming this year and I think I've finally figured it out. I always cut it back in the fall but this past fall, I left it alone and let it just do its own thing this Spring. It has done much, much better so I'm thinking I was setting it back each time I cut it down. It has a few old stems that haven't completely filled out but starting to put leaves on them.

  3. It might be a little dark but not bad.
Would have like to see the bottle and table top more in focus.

I have a small hydrangea (not a lacycap) that Neal and Jodi got me for Easter several years ago. This is the first year that it really looks like it will make a nice plant. It may take it several more year to bloom.
