I need to pull some of these out they are starting to take over the area around the pond.
I got a start of this Sedum from my Grandmother years ago. I think it is Autumn Joy but she always called it Live Forever so that is what I call it too.

Finally....I don't have to look at the neighbors anymore...I can't believe how much nicer this makes my portion of the world look. Wish I'd done it a long time ago. Now to get started planting my border bed....I'm going to be able to fill it with sun and shade plants. I've been 'mapping' out the times of day that its in sun or shade. Mostly the east and west ends are in sun most of the day and the middle is in shade all day. I'll be super busy next Spring getting it all ready and planting it. This is it for today...need to get to work!
Try as I might, I can never get a good photo of this bicycle basket. Just seems like the light is all wrong every time I try. I planted these pink waves in this basket and the window box. I planted white waves in the round bed around the new tree. The pink waves are doing pretty good but the white wave isn't growing much at all. Guess I'll go back to the pink waves there next year. I need a reminder for next year...I want to plant the chartreuse green sweet potato vine in the round bed next year along with the pink wave. I like that bright green color in the middle of the summer.
I really like these Knock Out Roses when they are first blooming out. I don't really care for the blooms at full bloom but the buds excite me. I don't have any blooms right now since I deadheaded them last weekend. But, there are a few buds, so will have more blooms soon. We got an inch and a half of rain yesterday and we were really needing it. I'm not sure I like the composition of this photo. The leaf is distracting to me. I'll have to try again once they bloom out again.
I really wish I had more time so I could scrapbook some of these. I really want to have a bunch of my flower pics done up in a book. So much I WANT to do and so little TIME! I picked up this adorable little rocking chair at a garage sale. I love the fern and impatiens combination.
Almost missed this at it's prime. The colors had just started to fade down. I kept walking past it when I was outdoors and thinking I should go in and grab the camera but would get sidetracked doing something else. I think of all my hydrangea's, this is my favorite one.

We took a short trip to the Ohio Amish country the other day and I snapped this shot in the flower garden of a gift shop. Love the way the petals look painted.
Bought some of these at the grocery the other day and had to take a shot of one. Gorgeous dark red color and yes I ate it.
I love the way he looks over the top of his glasses at me....we were at his art show for his art class that he takes at Graceland college. He really enjoys this week of doing all sorts of art.
Wow! It's been so long since I posted, I about forgot how to post. I captured this little beauty in the Spring at our local greenhouse. Just happened to have my camera with me when I went down there. Isn't it a beautiful color?
Trying my hand at being artsy.....Don't think I will ever make a living at it.
Took this shot of a Yellow Finch from inside the sunroom. Used the tripod and the remote switch. The halo that you see to the right of the bird is it's reflection in the window. Don't have a polarizing filter for the lens.
