On the other side of the window

Tufted Titmouse

Hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did but I ate way to much good food.
The kids, Grands and the rest of my family was all here but Neal and he was working. That's ok just glad he has a good job.

I sat my camera and tripod up in the sunroom last Saturday to try snapping some shots of the birds at the feeder outside the window. Not a good idea at that time to much sun. All the brick you see on the right side of the image is reflection and since it was late afternoon when the sun in lower in the sky I decided to wait till morning and try again.......Rain for the next 3 days....... Soooo....... this is the best of the ones I snapped that day, but I'll keep trying. Want to get a shot of the Chickadee's and Nuthatch when they stop by for a snack.

Staples are from Shabby Princess.

  1. I think you did a great job and if you hadn't said anything about the reflection, I wouldn't have noticed it. It appears nice and sharp and very well composed. I haven't seen too many birds feeding around here. I've had food in the feeder all summer but no birds have been eating it. I'm not sure what is up with that...guess they find food more to their liking in the summer time. I hope they come back this winter. I need to move my feeder, it is above my perennial border and the seeds they drop are sprouting and growing weeds in the flowers.

We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving. We went to dinner and did a bit of shopping and then came home and watched some of the holiday shows on the television.

This is a first...I'm completely done shopping, the lights are up outside, the tree is up and decorated and I'm in the process of wrapping gifts now...just came upstairs to make some gift tags. I planned on getting all the wrapping done today and then to work on decorating the inside of the house tomorrow. All I'll lack being done is the cards and my paper for them hasn't arrived yet. I don't like to send cards till the last 2 weeks of Dec. so should be able to complete them in time. I feel sooooo good! Maybe the hectic time of the year will be easier to bear!

  2. Thanks.....I bought a different kind of seed for this feeder and they seem to like it. I want a feeder with a roof over it but that will have to wait until after Christmas....not enough time right now.
Glad you had a relaxing Thasgiving....I was so tired I could hardly move.

I can't believe you have all that done and have the nerve to brag about...I have a neighbor like that and I don't like her either.

    .........I'm joking........

I worked most of the afternoon and I have the living room done but no tree up yet. Hope I can move enough to do the kitchen tomorrow. The rest will have to wait until later in the week.
Going on a shopping trip for a couple of days.

  3. Whewwww.....sure glad you added that little notation or I'd be authoring this blog all by my lonesome...LOL....
Trust me...this is a definite first cause I'm not one to get in and do things that far in advance. I still have a couple gifts out on order that will need to be wrapped but then I'll be done. I didn't spend quite as much this year...trying to adjust my spending habits so it won't be such a shock next year when I retire.
I'm sure your decor will outshine mine. You put so much more thought into your decorations. Me? I just put them up and get it done....LOL
