This was my first thoughts for pink....I'm thinking I should have used a flower instead...going to have to eat these props...LOL...
I need to really practice food photography more cause I never get it to what I want it to be. I printed off some green scrapbook paper to add to the background but I don't really have good light inside my house. Or should I say I don't have room for the props, my camera and tripod and my body all at the same time. Have a heck of a time!

Just curious....how would you have set this up? I'm thinking if I had another point of view, I might learn faster. I had it on a small table in front of my south window and with light coming in from the back door window too. A couple times, I had to wait on the sun to go behind a cloud so that it didn't overexpose my background paper that was taped to the wall behind the cupcakes. I think I need to buy a white platter...all I have are patterned or clear glass.
ReplyDeleteMy first thoughts for this color challenge was to come up with a collage of pinks but just didn't have the time to do all that. Maybe I'll have more time this week as I'm on vacation!!!
I think this image is perfect.
ReplyDeleteYou might have shot from up higher looking down on top of the cupcakes or maybe close your aperture some so they are all in focus. White under the cupcakes would have been nice. You could have used a sheet of paper. It could have been just one cupcake. I guess it's just what you want.
I know it's hard to come up with ideas and you are like me and never like your images.
There isn't anything wrong with this shot but I do think changing what you have around it would make a big difference.
I see you posted again so now I'll go see what you changed.....LOL
