Snaps around the yard

A few snaps around the yard for July. In the first one you can see that Brent used what he had on hand for his bean poles...LOL
I love my Hibiscus just wish it would come back next year but I guess I'll just have to buy another one.

  1. I was going to have to ask if it was a bean pole...wasn't quite sure...LOL..neat shot, love the bokeh in the background.

That is a beautiful hibiscus....you know you can save it through every year...just put it in a cool, dry place, like the basement, and give it some water ever so often. It won't look great but as soon as Spring looks like its just around the corner, cut it back a little, give it more water and set it in the sun...or, sat it outside in the sun during the day if its warming up. I saved mine for almost 5 years before I had a senior moment and completely forgot that it was in the basement. It doesn't require a lot of water in the winter time but it does require some...LOL If you do this, by full blown Spring your hibiscus will be as pretty as it is now.

Pretty Knock outs! Mine are looking a bit ragged....too dry and way too hot but they are still blooming a bit. I think they will
    improve come fall.

    Nice set of shots!

  2. This is the first time we have planted pole beans. I love to see them in a garden.

I think it would be easier to just buy a new hibiscus next year but I may try keeping it.

My Knock outs don't look tp good. I'm about ready to cut everything down.

    Thanks

  3. I pruned the daisies and coneflowers this morning. I've been a super busy beaver all weekend. Got home late Friday night and was up at 5:00 on Sat. Ran to Wal-Mart and the grocery store and was back to take my truck to the garage for oil change by 8. Then went and rented the Rug Doctor and Bill and I moved furniture and I cleaned the carpets and then dusted everything and put it all back. Washed curtains and then was outside by 3 to mow yard and do some weeding. Finally quit around 8 and went to bed but was back up at 5:00 this am and finished weeding and deadheading, stained the small part of the deck that I hadn't got done, power washed out the garage, watered and fertilized flowers and was back in the house by 9:30 and emptied out the freezer and defrosted it. Whew....I was ready to sit down by noon. This afternoon, I've washed clothes and worked on bill's and now I'm suppose to be working on the wedding pics but not getting too far. I've waded through 93 pics so far and have at least that many more to do. The rest won't be quite as time consuming cause all they are are snap shots of guest at the wedding. I'll be glad when they are done. I have decided that wedding photography is not my passion. LOL
